
Dyslexia Index
A formal educational assessment that screens for the risk of dyslexia. We recommend doing the Dyslexia Index with the KTEA-3. But, families can take the Dyslexia Index alone.
Who
The test is for students grades K-12. There is a suspicion of a learning difference.
Where
Students take the assessment at the East Vancouver or North Vancouver Learning Centres.

Program Description
The Dyslexia Index is a brief dyslexia screening tool. It assesses the risk of a student having dyslexia. It is a great tool to help you decide whether your child needs a full Psychoeducational Assessment (Psych Ed).
The report gives you valuable information and helps you communicate with schools.
Cost
- Our sliding scale is applied to this assessment.
- The Dyslexia Index is $200.
- The Dyslexia Index and the Academic Assessment (KTEA-3) together are $450.

Academic Assessment (KTEA-3)
The Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement, third edition (KTEA-3) is a Level-B academic assessment. It provides detailed information on a student’s reading, written expression, and mathematics performance.
